Because JCUA's mission is limited to local issues, we do not take positions or do work on international concerns such as the war in Iraq or the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians, although we understand the seriousness of such issues and their impact on the lives of communities in the U.S. Our aim is to bring Jews and Muslims together to make a better, shared life in the Chicago area. We work around concrete local goals and progressive values such as equal rights, respect, safety, and justice for all people.
